| EMU College Rep / Publicist |  |  | CONTACT ME | | "I know the price of success: Dedication, Hard Work and an Unremitting Devotion to the things you want to see happen." Born in Queens, New York on March 19, 1988, Nikk always had an ear for music. Born to Caribbean parents, she was exposed to all different types of music and avenues of expression in NYC. After moving to Ypsilanti, MI, she spent her time singing in choirs, doing talent shows and participating in her schools music and band programs. Before the age of 21, Nikk accomplished many things including: becoming the first person under the age of 18 to sit on Ypsilanti’s Recreation Commission, being appointed by the Mayor to the 20/20 Task Force for the City of Ypsilanti and becoming Program Director of a non-profit called Ypsilanti Youth Empowered to Act (YYEA).   Nikk was heavily influenced by her parents who taught her that without struggle and sacrifice there is no success. She also had a very strong work ethic instilled in her from a young age. Nikk has been known as a workaholic and some say she never sits still. This can be attributed to her time spent in fast-paced New York City. Her goal in life is simple; she wants to leave a legacy, touch one life at a time, and give back to the communities that gave so much to her. | Nikk serves as FSR’s Publicist/Online Promotions Rep and EMU’s Campus Rep. Her job includes doing heavy promotion online – taggin’, bloggin’, and braggin’! Also at EMU, she is responsible for getting involved with press, student organizations and keeping FSR a staple in campus life. Most importantly, she’s the Princess of FrontStreet! | |  |
